Whether you prefer to lounge at the lakeside swimming in the sun, spending your days touring the lakes on the boat, or discovering the sights and sounds on the numerous trails and at the local attractions, sought after Lake Rosseau offers it all!
Each season in Muskoka brings with it a number of outdoor activities to keep you active and entertained. Many of the beautiful towns that surround Lake Rosseau are smaller, quaint villages that each offer different activities and services for visitors.
In the summer months, Lake Rosseau is alive with recreation and activities for all. Lake Rosseau is surrounded by golf courses for all levels and abilities and resorts which offer fine dining, spa services and on-site activities for guests.
Lake Rosseau is also one of the larger in the region and is linked to both Lake Muskoka and Lake Joseph. Pack a lunch and spend the day out touring the lakes or get out the water skis and learn some new tricks. In the cooler months, the lake eventually freezes lending itself ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and of course skating. Small homemade ice rinks can be found along many of the shores of the lake and several fish huts can be seen out on the lake once the ice has been deemed safe.
No matter the time of year, you can be sure to experience some of the most incredible views and guests will be sure to leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. It should be noted that some of the marinas, shops and local restaurants operate on a seasonal basis, so be aware of that if you decide to visit during the off season.
